The next show will be on Saturday, July 19 at Googie's Lounge (above the Living Room) as the next in the Ponypalooza concert series. This is going to be another great night with performances from the likes of Jaclyn Dima, Jamie Leonhart and Dorit (plus a special guest or two). I'll be joined in my set by the usual suspects...
Head on over to my myspace page to hear two new songs - "Every Time I Fall" and "The Rainy Days Are Yours", recorded live at Rockwood Music Hall with a full backing band.
NEW EP!
I'm going to be heading into the studio to record a new EP in just a few short weeks. The two aforementioned songs will definitely be on there along with some of what I feel is my strongest material to date. The disc will feature the same band that I've been gigging with for the last 6 months and will be cut at The Bunker Studios in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We're hoping to have this disc out there by sometime in the fall, but keep checking back at scottsteinmusic.com for more details!
LATEST CD RELEASE - "TWO LANE HEARTACHE WALTZ"
My debut full-length studio album, "Two Lane Heartache Waltz", was recorded in various rooms of a North Columbus house on an 80-year-old upright piano, tons of old recording equipment, a Hammond organ, and wires running from the basement all the way to the control room on the top floor, the new album features a slew of new material plus four favorites from the 2005 "Live at the 5th Ave. Coffee Shop" CD. The new album also features performances from my Columbus gigging band (Chad Greenwald - bass, Brian Linville - drums) as well as my playing all piano, organ, electric guitar, and acoustic guitar parts and arranging the string parts.

Ohio State's independent news magazine, UWeekly, has published a nice review of "Live at the 5th Ave. Coffee Shop":
"Stein's latest CD is truly a blend of all of his musical talents. It's a live display of Stein's enchanting singing voice and poetic songwriting ability, as well as his clever guitar playing and energetic piano pieces."
